What is the Go Southeast MN Mobile Application?

Go Southeast MN is the mobile counterpart to the GoSoutheastMN interactive web-based mapping application. This mobile application will locate places to be active throughout Southeast Minnesota counties such as parks and trails. Visitors can also locate healthy eating features such as community gardens and farmers markets throughout Southeast Minnesota.

What mobile devices are supported?

The Go Southeast Mobile application supports both Apple and Android devices. Supported Apple devices include: iPhone 3, iPhone 4, iPhone 4GS, iPad 2, and iPad 3rd generation.

Android devices running Android operating system 2.2 or higher that are touch enabled are supported. This includes over 350 Android smart phones and tablets including: Motorola Droid Series, Motorola Zoom Tablets, HTC Droid Series, HTC Evo, Samsung Captivate, Samsung Vibrant, and theGoogle Nexus Series.

How can I get the “Go Southeast MN!” app?

Go to the Apple App store or the Google Marketplace and search “Go Southeast MN!” The download is free.

How to use the “Go Southeast MN” application

Once you enter the application, you will see a map of southeast Minnesota and there will be tools available to help you find places for recreational activities and healthy eating.  Click on the “i” button in the mobile application for more detailed information about the various tools: Map View, Map Layers,GPS, and Search.

How often is map information updated?

Updates depend on the type of data.  Activity locations and descriptions are updated frequently. Basemaps that contain roadway information are updated quarterly. The terrain data and images are updated when newer data is available.

 

How accurate is the information presented on the map?

The information shown on the map has been provided by compiled from many sources. The information shown here is only as accurate as the original source material and is intended for recreational purposes and may not follow actual legal boundaries.
